Start Your Journey with OCIA

Are you feeling called to the Catholic Church?  We are here to help you start your faith journey.

The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults, (OCIA), formerly known as RCIA, is the process for adults and older children/teens who are interested in becoming full members of the Catholic Church. 

• This program prepares individuals for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.   
• Those coming from other faith traditions, as well as Catholics who have yet to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist, are also appropriate for the OCIA process.  
• Catholics seeking the Sacrament of Confirmation only are brought through a process separate from OCIA which address their specific needs. 

OCIA follows the ancient practice of the Catholic Church, introducing an individual to the Catholic way of life. Candidates are accompanied on their journey of faith by their catechists, sponsors and parish community.

For those seeking initiation, the length of the process is specific to each person’s needs.  Everyone is on their own faith journey.  This journey fosters a deep relationship with God and His Holy Catholic Church.  Through participation in weekly worship, catechetical instruction and parish activities, each person is invited into a deeper relationship with God and the parish community.
